The Jabit III Ti fat bike is the same design and geometry as our steel frame, but instead we use a double butted 3Al/2.5V titanium tubing. Titanium allows for a stiffer frame giving more power transfer and it also saves just over 1 pound lighter than the double butted steel frame.

The 509 Cycles Fat Bike features a 177×12 rear end, English threaded bottom bracket, a 44mm headtube and suspension corrected. When designing the bike we added a higher bb to prevent striking when riding technical single track, a steeper head tube angle for a more responsive feel and a narrow Q factor that can still clear  5″ tires on a 100mm rim. Fat bikes see a lot of snow, sand and salt that can damage a frame, so we added a solid thru axle set up on our frame without all the bolts to attach the dropout. The bolts can seize together or come loose over time so by removing them we created a solid bike that was made to last.
