509 Cycles was started because we saw a lack of bikes that we wanted to ride. With over 20 years of experience in the bike industry we are set to push the boundaries of most frames on the market. We started with our Jabit III fat bike, which at the time was the only bike to clear a 5″ tire with a 177mm rear axle. Keeping a narrow Q factor but also allowing a large tire. We did the same with our Necessary Evil frame. Creating a gravel bike bike that was comfortable to ride long distance, was able to clear a larger tire than most other companies while at the same time keeping prices as low as we could. The two of us, Joel and George, in 509 have a pretty strong BMX background, then we switched to fat biking, XC racing and gravel. Anything with two wheels is the center of our lives and we wanted to make something that we are proud of and offer it to everyone else to experience!
