A week before the race, our pro rider Pete Karinen said he wanted to race single speed on our Jabit III at nationals. We were all for it! So we ordered up the parts, which didn’t show up on time. Then came plan B, we shipped the parts out to WV, where they almost didn’t make it on time. Pete chased down the delivery driver and the night before the race Pete set up the bike last minute to get on the course the next day!
Pete took home gold! He raced a Ti Jabit III with 509 Carbon 29plus rims, Panaracer Fat B Nimble tires and a RS-1 fork which got the job done on the muddy course at Snowshoe, WV. This makes 2 national titles for the 509 within the last 7 months!
